Quality Assurance Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to oversee and implement quality control and assurance processes on construction projects. The QA Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all project deliverables meet or exceed the highest quality standards and comply with contractual, regulatory, and company requirements. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of construction methods and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Quality Assurance Planning:
    • Develop and implement project-specific quality assurance plans (QAPs) in alignment with company policies and client requirements.
    • Establish and document quality standards, inspection procedures, and testing protocols.
    • Ensure quality management systems are in place and updated throughout the project lifecycle.
  2. Inspection and Testing:
    • Conduct regular inspections of materials, equipment, and construction activities to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
    • Oversee testing processes, including materials testing, system performance tests, and equipment validations.
    • Document and report any non-conformances, providing corrective actions and ensuring timely resolution.
  3. Collaboration and Coordination:
    • Work closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to address quality concerns.
    • Coordinate with design teams to resolve discrepancies in project specifications or drawings.
    • Participate in project meetings to provide updates on quality performance and recommend improvements.
  4. Training and Development:
    • Train project teams and subcontractors on quality control processes and standards.
    • Promote a culture of quality awareness throughout the organization.
    • Develop and deliver educational materials and workshops on quality assurance best practices.
  5. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and quality-related activities.
    • Prepare detailed quality reports and summaries for internal and client use.
    • Ensure that project closeout documentation, including as-built drawings and warranties, meets quality standards.
  6. Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, regulations, and client requirements.
    • Identify and mitigate quality risks, ensuring corrective measures are implemented promptly.
    • Support audits and inspections conducted by clients or regulatory agencies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in construction quality assurance or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, codes, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in quality management tools and software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
