About the Role: We are seeking a seasoned
Project Executive to lead multifamily construction projects in the San Antonio market. This individual will be responsible for overseeing multiple large-scale developments from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring quality, safety, budget, and schedule alignment across all phases. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with a strong operational background in multifamily construction and a passion for developing high-performance teams.
Key Responsibilities: - Provide executive-level leadership across multiple multifamily construction projects simultaneously.
- Serve as the primary client contact, maintaining strong relationships with ownership, design teams, consultants, and key stakeholders.
- Oversee preconstruction efforts including budgeting, scheduling, value engineering, and constructability reviews.
- Manage and mentor project teams, including Project Managers, Superintendents, and Project Engineers.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality and safety standards.
- Drive risk management, contract negotiations, and change management processes.
- Collaborate with estimating, field operations, and corporate leadership to ensure alignment across departments.
- Lead project reviews, forecasts, and reporting to senior leadership and ownership groups.
- Champion continuous improvement and best practices across all phases of the project lifecycle.
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role on multifamily projects.
- Proven track record of delivering podium, wrap, or garden-style multifamily projects valued at $30M+.
- Deep knowledge of construction operations, contracts, scheduling, and budget control.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, and other industry-standard software.
Preferred: - Local market experience in the San Antonio or greater Central Texas area.
- Experience working for both general contractors and developer-builders.
