About the Role We are seeking an experienced and proactive Lead Superintendent to oversee and manage commercial construction projects in the Austin area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ground-up construction, tenant improvements, and renovations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.​
Key Responsibilities
  • Project Oversight: Manage all phases of construction projects, from pre-construction planning through completion, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe job site, complying with OSHA regulations and company policies.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure workmanship meets or exceeds industry standards and project specifications.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact on-site, facilitating effective communication between project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, change orders, and inspection records.

Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction, with a proven track record of managing successful projects.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Certifications: OSHA 30 certification required; additional safety or industry certifications are a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore, Microsoft Project, and Bluebeam.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience with various commercial project types, including healthcare, education, retail, and office spaces.
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in the Austin, TX area.
