About the Role: We’re seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our growing team in Houston, TX. The Estimator will play a critical role in preparing accurate and competitive bids for a variety of construction projects. You will work closely with the preconstruction team, project managers, and subcontractors to develop comprehensive cost estimates, value engineering solutions, and risk assessments.
Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and RFI generation as needed.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure that estimates align with execution strategies.
• Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations for clients.
• Maintain and update historical cost data and unit pricing databases.
• Track and analyze project costs against estimates during buyout and post-bid phases.
• Provide value engineering and cost-saving recommendations throughout the preconstruction phase.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in estimating within the construction industry (multifamily, commercial, or industrial experience preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proficiency in estimating software (such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Procore, Sage Estimating, or similar).
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with local Houston market subcontractors and pricing is a strong plus.
