Position Summary: The Assistant Superintendent will support the Superintendent in the daily management, supervision, and coordination of all construction activities on site. This role ensures work is executed in a safe, efficient, and high-quality manner, while maintaining schedules and promoting a positive team environment.
Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the daily supervision of field activities to ensure project milestones and quality standards are met.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with subcontractors, vendors, and inspectors.
- Monitor jobsite safety and enforce company safety policies.
- Track progress against construction schedules and assist in updating project timelines.
- Help manage deliveries, material storage, and site logistics.
- Conduct site walks and quality control checks to ensure compliance with plans, specs, and code.
- Document daily activities, weather conditions, manpower, and incidents in the project management software.
- Support punch list generation and turnover processes.
Qualifications: - 2+ years of experience in a field construction role, preferably with ground-up multifamily projects.
- Working knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and project documentation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, etc.) is a plus.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field is a plus.
